To develop partners’ capacities in the field of drug use prevention and related issues, the WFAD-DRC office has called upon an expert from the WFAD partner office in Nairobi, Mr Paul Kogi Mburu to run a three-day extensive training of trainers (ToT) from 9th to 11th November in Kinshasa. The training targets a total of 24 facilitators from our partners-LPI; INTERACTIONS, DASOD, SYFES- and the WFAD- DRC office staff in Kinshasa.
Today 9th November 2020 was the kick-off day of the training. Our Country Representative, Dandy Yela opened the session with an introduction and welcoming words. He gave a brief presentation of WFAD before introducing the WFAD-RDC team and the trainer, Mr Paul Kogi Mburu. A session with a very positive interaction of WFAD local partners with participants coming in from Kinshasa and as far as Goma, in the Eastern DRC; highlights the major actors and groups of interest in the field of drugs: students, teachers, family, community, government, workers, special groups and international actors; their roles and influences in regards to alcohol, drug and substance use.
